The Original Egg-Bot: Ready to use

The Eggbot is an open-source art robot that can draw on spherical or egg-shaped objects from the size of a ping pong ball to that of a small grapefruit-- roughly 1.25 to 4.25 inches in diameter (3 - 10 cm). While it only takes most people an hour or two to build the kit, we are now offering the Deluxe Egg-Bot in this assembled and tested Ready-To-Use edition as well.

You'll need a recent-vintage computer with an available USB port (Mac, Windows or Linux), plus internet access to download instructions and necessary software. If you decide to purchase an assembled Egg-Bot, we recommend reading through the assembly manual, available for free download at the documentation site, to familiarize yourself with the various parts of the Egg-Bot prior to using it.

In detail, this Ready-To-Use edition of the Deluxe Eggbot consists of The Original Egg-Bot kit, pre-assembled with the brass hardware, hex holster and precision egg coupler accessories. It also includes the 5/64" balldriver that comes with the kit version of the Deluxe Eggbot.

Please note that the Ready-To-Use edition comes fully assembled with the "Deluxe" upgrades, and does not include the original thumbscrews, egg coupler, or L-wrench replaced by those upgrades.
